On June 8, Central Asia’s first-ever TajRupt artificial intelligence laboratory opened with the support of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies in the capital of Tajikistan. Its founder is 23-year-old Azizjon Azimi, the press office of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies reported on June 9.
The main purpose of the laboratory is to empower the younger generation in the fields of artificial intelligence. The TajRupt’s curriculum includes ten weeks of training. It will consist of 75-minute interactive lessons delivered three times a week.
The subjects to be taught include government policy, philosophy, market, media, technology, international relations and gender equality. The training course is divided into three categories of different difficulty levels. It is delivered in the English language.
Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir and heads of a number of government agencies attended the official opening ceremony of the laboratory.
Azimi is an undergraduate at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also graduated from Harvard Kennedy School.
