The President of Tajikistan said the Government must use their best efforts to ensure a decent life for the people.

On February 19, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a working meeting with a number of Deputy Prime Ministers and high-ranking officials of government agencies. The leader of Tajikistan instructed to hold Navruz celebrations without extra costs, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported.

Rahmon particularly noted that the celebrations should be held in a cost-effective manner. The meeting participants also reviewed the preparations for the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of independence.

The President emphasised that the Government must use their best efforts to ensure a decent life for the people and hold the upcoming celebrations in a worthy manner.

This year, the programme of Navruz celebrations will not include a theatrical performance. The Republican Task Force to combat coronavirus infection gave permission to hold concerts and sporting events locally in a number of districts of Dushanbe.

As was reported, no new cases have been recorded in the country since January 11. President Emomali Rahmon said the Tajikistan authorities had won a victory over the infection thanks to timely measures.
