President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon made major leadership changes in the border troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan, ASIA-Plus reports.
One of major personnel changes is the dismissal of Salomatsho Bozorboy Mirzozoda from the post of Rector of the Higher Border Institute of Tajikistan. The reason is the transfer to another job, but specific details of the new place of work have not been disclosed.
Khikmatullo Pirakzoda took the vacant position and was appointed Rector of the Higher Border Institute. Previously, he served as First Deputy Commander of the Border Troops and Chief of the General Staff of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security. Rajabzoda Murodali Rajab was appointed to the high-ranking positions in the border troops of the State Committee for National Security.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan held a meeting with the newly appointed high-raking officials. Emomali Rahmon expressed particular concern about the current unpredictable situation in the region and the world, emphasising that border troops are of particular importance in maintaining national security.
