According to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan, one of the key priorities of the Government of Tajikistan is to protect the health of mothers and children. The State Reproductive Health Programme for 2023-2027 will be an important step in this direction, the Khovar National News Agency of Tajikistan reports.
The ultimate goal of the Programme is to increase access, quality and effectiveness of reproductive health services, improve women’s health and provide moral and sex education to young people. To achieve this goal, it is planned to provide hospitals and medical posts with contraceptives, train workers in reproductive health, regulate the supply and distribution of contraceptives, etc.
«The Programme is aimed at <…> reducing maternal mortality, providing medical institutions with modern equipment and technologies, <…> supplying educational institutions with the necessary materials for training sessions on reproductive health,» the press office of the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan led by Jamoliddin Abdullozoda reported.
The Programme will be implemented in three stages: the first stage covers the period from 2023 to 2025, the second stage will be completed in 2026 and the third stage — in 2027.
