Uzbekistan and Belarus strengthen cooperation in rural digital transformation

The Republics agreed to exchange experiences in such areas as lawmaking and gender and youth policy.

Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva and Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova discussed the prospects of rural digital transformation and expressed readiness to promote bilateral cooperation, the press office of the Government of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The interlocutors emphasised that relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus are at a high level and develop continuously. This is evidenced by an intensified parliamentary dialogue, which enables the two countries to implement joint projects and cooperate in various fields.

The main outcomes of the meeting included an agreement to promote partnerships in rural digital transformation. Uzbekistan and Belarus are seeking to exchange experiences and best practices in gender and youth policy and lawmaking.

The agenda also covered the preparations for a regional forum, which would be an important event for the two states.
