Uzbekistan-China trade grows to $5.6 billion in 6 months

Relations between the two countries are getting stronger, and bilateral trade amounted to $8.92 billion in 2022.

Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a working meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Uzbekistan Yu Jun. The main issues under discussion included the prospects of Uzbekistan-China trade, the press office of the Government of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

In the first half of 2023, Uzbekistan-China trade reached $5.6 billion. Noting that mutual deliveries have grown significantly, the interlocutors emphasised the importance of building up and expanding this cooperation.

The key issues under discussion included the progress of the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China. The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the fulfilment of the assigned tasks and identified measures for successful investment and economic cooperation.

The interlocutors noted that Uzbekistan-China trade amounted to $8.92 billion last year.
