President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the orphans in the settlements and districts of Sughd Region during his working trip to Guliston town. 100 young citizens received gifts from the Tajik leader, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The orphans received clothes, books, money and sweets. A festive meal to celebrate Novruz and the programme of cultural events were arranged for the children.
Rahmon emphasised that the Government of Tajikistan makes efforts to help children without parental care. He said the authorities provides assistance to orphan schools and funds the construction of boarding schools that offer comfortable living and opportunities to receive quality education.
After the meeting with the orphans, Rahmon attended the opening ceremony of the Bahor kindergarten for 240 children. The Government of Tajikistan initiated the construction of this preschool institution.
