On November 28, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Aurelia Bouchez to discuss further bilateral cooperation in a number of areas, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.
The agenda of the meeting covered major aspects of Uzbekistan-France multifaceted partnerships in 2023. The interlocutors focused on the outcomes of the recent official visit of Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France. The top-level talks confirmed the readiness of Uzbekistan and France to continue to build up cooperation in a wide range of areas.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador discussed the progress of the implementation of bilateral agreements on cooperation on trade, economy, investment and finance totalling over 6 billion euros.
The participants of the meeting exchanged views on cooperation between the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Assembly of France and the plans of bilateral cultural, humanitarian and other events scheduled to take place in 2023.
