The events are aimed at attracting investment in the oil and gas sector.

On October 26, the International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2022” (OGT-2022) have started in Ashgabat. The events are aimed at attracting investment in Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector, a correspondent at CentralAsia.news reported.

The three-day event is being held in a hybrid format, which lets the heads of Turkmen ministries and departments conduct fruitful business face-to-face and online meetings with representatives of the world’s major oil and gas companies and international financial institutions.

The agenda of the forum covers promising areas for encouraging foreign direct investment in Turkmenistan’s oil and gas industry and promoting a regional dialogue on sustainable cooperation in the energy sector.

Turkmen specialists and international experts are discussing the challenges of a “blue fuel” shortage in the world markets and diversification of natural resources. They are focusing on using advanced technologies to build a green economy, which will reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

The participants are exchanging views on the priorities of energy diplomacy of Turkmenistan, the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline project, the investment attractiveness of the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea and the development of the fuel and energy sector given global trends.
