Foreign ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Korea sign two-year cooperation programme

The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in increasing trade between the two states.

On October 23, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubayev held a meeting with his Korean counterpart Park Jin in Seoul during his official visit to South Korea. Kulubaev said Kyrgyzstan is interested in increasing trade between the two countries, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.

He also added that the Kyrgyz side hopes for the support of South Korea in developing the business environment in Kyrgyzstan.

Park Jin informed about the intention of the Korean side to launch direct flights next year.

The Ministers signed the Cooperation Programme between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries for 2022-2024. It covers priority areas of cooperation between the foreign ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Korea.

The interlocutors highlighted the need to continue mutual visits at the top and high levels to foster a political dialogue. In this context, Jeenbek Kulubayev invited Park Jin to pay a return official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
