Rahmon orders to set up Translation Centre under Cabinet of Ministers of Tajikistan

The President highlighted the importance of providing citizens with access to world literature.

On September 27, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon delivered a speech at Sotim Ulugzade State Institute of Languages, instructing to set up the National Translation Centre under the Government of Tajikistan to provide citizens with access to world literature, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reports.

The President ordered that the Cabinet of Ministers consider this issue and develop and approve the necessary legal documents within 3 months.

The implementation of the state programme for the improvement of Russian and English language teaching and learning for the period until to 2030, launched in January 2021, is currently underway, the President noted.

He stated that the need and importance of knowing several languages today require different sections of society, particularly teenagers and young people, employees of government agencies and bodies, to learn foreign languages, taking into account modern requirements for promoting personal development and open access to global information for all.
