The tasks of protecting children were discussed in Kyrgyzstan. The Interagency Commission responsible for monitoring the system of protection of children who are victims of violence or crime headed by Commissioner for Children’s Rights Asel Chynbayeva held the first meeting, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Members of the Commission highlighted the need to take consistent efforts to ensure that every child in a difficult life situation is protected from violence.
The participants focused on the relevant and adequate measures to protect children who had been harmed by crime. In this context, they considered the performance and responsibility of officials, whose negligence could lead or had led to the violations of children’s rights and agreed to take control of the performance of duties, including psychological and medical care, by the relevant authorities, including local child protective services, educational and healthcare institutions, law enforcement agencies, local administrations and local governments.
