Kulubaev calls on Central Asia and China to invest in Kyrgyz economy

The Kyrgyz side highly evaluates the work of the Central Asia-China forum.

On June 8, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev emphasised that one of the priority tasks of the Kyrgyz authorities is to create an enabling business environment and protect the interests of foreign investors, addressing the third “China+Central Asia” Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Nur-Sultan, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.

He said Kyrgyzstan is working actively to provide security to foreign investment and called on investors from the countries of the region and China to invest in Kyrgyz economy.

The Minister also noted the expediency of improving efficiency of “green transit freight transportation corridors” for goods earmarked for import and export, including socially significant products.

Touching upon the environmental agenda, the Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that climate change, ecosystem degradation and environmental pollution have a strong impact on the mountainous countries, including Kyrgyzstan.

In this context, he highlighted the timeliness and high relevance of the initiatives of the Kyrgyz leader Sadyr Japarov to declare the “Five Years of Action for the Development of Mountain Regions”.
