New housing estate to be built for fire victims in Ridder

The construction of a housing estate is to finish on August 15.

On May 24, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin made a working trip to East Kazakhstan Region. The Prime Minister held meetings with the residents of Ridder town, who had been badly affected by a significant fire that broke out on May 10, the press office of the Government of Kazakhstan reported.

The ground-up construction of 30 houses for homeless families in Botanika housing estate has begun. These houses have an improved layout. Each house has a total floor area of 80 square metres and a 10-acre plot of land. Emergency relief funding allocations from the Government reserves fund cover on-going construction work.

During his meetings with the local people, the Prime Minister said President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev had instructed that comfortable homes be built for all homeless families in the shortest possible time. The Government and East Kazakhstan Region akimat will take all the necessary measures to fulfil the President’s instructions.

As was reported, the recovery needs amounted to 557.5 million tenge. The well-reputed companies are engaged to perform construction work. The construction of the residential area is to finish on August 15.
