Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan agree to expand cooperation in all areas

Maripov said cultural affinities and common traditions that needed to be enhanced bound the two peoples together.

On June 8, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziev, who arrived in Bishkek for a working visit. Shaikhraziev conveyed the greetings of President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, noting that the intensification of cooperation would have a positive impact on promoting bilateral relations, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

“The Kyrgyz Republic attaches particular importance to deepening mutually beneficial contacts with the Republic of Tatarstan. Cultural affinities, close languages, one religion and common traditions that need to be enhanced bind the two peoples together,” Maripov said.

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers mentioned the meetings with representatives of business circles in Kazan, which had resulted in signing over 10 cooperation agreements between the Republics, and noted that Tatarstan was interested in expanding partnerships in the education and tourism sectors.
