Government of Kazakhstan reports on stable economic growth

The active processes in all sectors of the national economy were reviving.

On May 12, Chairman of the Government of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin heard the reports on the country’s social and economic development and the implementation of the state budget in January-April 2021, the press office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

According to the high-ranking officials, a strong growth trend was observed across Kazakh economy. During the reporting period, GDP grew at a rate of 0.7%, and the active processes in all sectors of the national economy were reviving.

The manufacturing, mechanical engineering, chemical, construction, agricultural, mining and processing industries and the service sector showed the best results.

The Prime Minister instructed that the heads of the relevant departments take measures to sustain and speed up the pace of economic growth for the long term.

Askar Mamin instructed that the heads of the regional administration vigilantly monitor food prices and work towards increasing financing for forward food purchases from local budgets to 10 billion tenge and gradually increase this financing  to 50 billion tenge under the ‘circulating scheme’.
