The intellectual mathematics competition was attended by 600 participants from 84 universities of 17 countries.
The International University for Humanities and Development held an international online mathematics Olympiad for the first time on May 5-8. As part of the intellectual competition, Turkmen students won 19 individual victories and 3 team victories, having become absolute leaders. It was reported by the electronic newspaper «Golden Age» on May 10.
In total, 600 students from 84 higher educational institutions of 17 states took part in the Olympiad. These are the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Argentina, China, the Republic of Turkey, India, Iran.
The national team of Turkmenistan consisted of 205 students from 17 local universities. As a result of the intellectual competition, they were awarded 121 first, second and third degree diplomas. Six first places were won by students of the organizing university, five other prizes were won by students of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.
In total, foreign participants have won 27 victories within the individual stage and 5 ones as a part of the team round.
Observer of Central Asia Vadim Shagiahmedov marked that the authorities of Turkmenistan pay special attention to comprehensive support of young people, in particular in the field of mastering modern specialties, studying new scientific ideas and cutting-edge research.
