Bishkek interested in expanding Kyrgyzstan-Korea cooperation

A diploma of the Government of Kyrgyzstan was awarded to the Ambassador of Korea for his significant contribution to bilateral relations.

On May 6, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea Ha Tae-youk, who was completing his diplomatic mission in the country. The parties discussed the prospects for enhancing and expanding bilateral cooperation, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers awarded Ha Tae-youk with a Certificate of Honour from the Government of Kyrgyzstan for his significant contribution to deepening bilateral relations between the two Republics.

Maripov noted that the Government would continue to make efforts to expand and promote cooperation between the two states, adding that Bishkek was interested in increasing bilateral trade, as well as in creating joint ventures and opening branches of Korean companies.

The Prime Minister highly evaluated humanitarian assistance provided by the Korean side to Kyrgyzstan during the coronavirus pandemic.
