Mirziyoyev visits New Uzbekistan Park site

The President said the park should be the centre mirroring the new look of the country, its great opportunities, unity and solidarity of the multi-ethnic people.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the site of the New Uzbekistan Park near Tashkent. The park should be the centre mirroring the new look of the country, its opportunities, unity and solidarity of the people, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reports.

“We have launched large-scale work to create decent living conditions for our people. With God’s help, we are starting to create a 104-hectare park in this picturesque locality. I think that it is a good sign to create a park during this blessed month,” Mirziyoyev said.

The trees in the park will be planted in a shape of 5 branches of a large tree, which will represent the main areas of the Strategy of Action. Chestnuts, oaks, maples, tulips, lindens and rare ornamental plants, shrubs and flowers will be planted in the park.

The park will feature an artificial lake, sports and playing grounds and fountains.

There will be the Istiklol centre dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of Uzbekistan in the park.

The Olympic Town will be built near the park.
