Kazakhstan chooses not to test vaccinated passengers

Passengers should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on the territory of Kazakhstan only.

In accordance with the Resolution of Chief Sanitary Doctor of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Kiyasov, fully vaccinated passengers arriving in Kazakhstan do not need to take a PCR test from May 3, the Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported on its website.

The Resolution says children under 5 years old and persons accompanying them, members of government delegations, flight crews, residents of the country or people who have a residence permit, who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Kazakhstan, are not required to take a test to cross the state border of Kazakhstan. They need to have a valid negative PCR test certificate.

The Resolution sets forth the procedures for providing medical care to women in labour and people who need emergency medical care at healthcare facilities. They will receive medical care before being tested for coronavirus infection. They should be escorted to the isolation room in strict compliance with isolation precautions.

All employers must allow their non-vaccinated employees to work remotely.
