Over 450,000 citizens of Uzbekistan to get jobs this year

Mirziyoyev signed the Resolution authorising to create new permanent jobs.

On April 28, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Resolution authorising to create 457,127 new permanent jobs to ensure employment for those out of work, the press office of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan reported.

The document provides for the employment of 513,575 citizens and the incentives for employers. In addition, free and reserve jobs have been provided to over 281,000 unemployed citizens.

In accordance with the Resolution, the state will allocate more than 92 billion soums and 65.1 billion soums in unemployment benefits to ensure the successful implementation of the programme this year. The Republic has allocated 40.6 billion soums for vocational training, retraining and advanced training programmes. The private banks will receive 125 billion soums to implement small-scale projects that create job opportunities.

Casual labour centres register, maintain databases on job seekers and receive applications from employers to hire temporary employees. These services will be provided regardless of their place of residence. Uzbekistan expects these measures to eradicate unemployment for a few years to come.
