Japarov instructs to improve epidemic situation

The heads of health institutions reported to the President on the preparedness for a potential third wave of the pandemic.

On April 8, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov chaired an operational working meeting on the epidemic situation in the country. The meeting participants reported on the preparedness for a potential third wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the press office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

The President set the task of ensuring sufficient supply of medicines and increasing the number of hospital beds.

The leader of Kyrgyzstan focused on enhancing the measures for early detection of coronavirus disease and highlighted the need to address immediately the issue of purchasing additional test systems.

As was reported, on April 12, schools and kindergartens in Bishkek will switch to online education due to the epidemic situation.

Head of the Education Department of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office Elmira Imanalieva said such a decision hadn’t been taken. Schools will be closed for sanitation after the elections on April 12 and 13.
