Japarov addresses the nation

The leader of Kyrgyzstan said irreconcilable differences between the society and the authorities had led to the collapse of the previous regimes.

On April 7, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov addressed the people of Kyrgyzstan on the anniversary of the April People’s Revolution. The leader of Kyrgyzstan said irreconcilable differences between the society and the authorities had led to the collapse of the previous regimes, the press office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Noting that April 7 marked the 11th anniversary of the April People’s Revolution, Japarov said it happened because the March Revolution had not achieve its goals.

The President said citizens of Kyrgyzstan went to the White House to defend their political rights on April 7, 2010.

The Kyrgyz people lost many of their glorious sons in the April events.

“The main result of the April Revolution was the choice of a democratic path of the national development,” the leader of the country said.

Sadyr Japarov added that another lesson of the April Revolution was that state power should be strengthened not by force and bloodshed, but peacefully through legitimate and transparent elections.
