WHO teaches Turkmen specialists communication skills during vaccination

Healthcare workers were shown how to consult and inform the population about the effectiveness of immunization.

Representatives of the World Health Organization Country Office in Ashgabat held an online training for medical workers of Turkmenistan on April 1. During the event, relevant specialists were trained in communication skills during vaccination against COVID-19, as reported by the WHO press office on Instagram.

Employees of Turkmen medical institutions were introduced methods of handling vaccination consultations and ways of informing the population about the effectiveness of vaccination and general immunization.

The training was held as part of a joint project of the World Health Organization and the European Union for COVID-19 Crisis Response for Central Asian countries.

It must be added that, as of April 4, 2021, no cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Turkmenistan. At the moment, the Russian vaccines Sputnik V and  EpiVacCorona are registered in the country. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Ministry of Health to provide all citizens with the corresponding medication.
