Weddings with up to 100 people allowed in Tajikistan

All guests are required to observe anti-epidemic measures and rules, namely use face coverings and gloves.

On March 27, the Government of Tajikistan permitted newly-weds to hold weddings with up to 100 guests in accordance with the decision of the Republican Task Force to Combat Coronavirus Infection. This decision followed the improvement of the epidemic situation in the country, the Khovar State News Agency reports.

According to the Republican Task Force to Combat Coronavirus Infection, all guests are required to observe anti-epidemic measures and rules, namely use face coverings and gloves and practice social distancing.

The government departments, in particular ministries, organisations and enterprises were instructed to ensure the safety of those taking part in wedding ceremonies.

As was reported, the authorities of Tajikistan limited the wedding guest list to 40 in July last year.

New COVID-19 cases have not been recorded in Tajikistan since the beginning of the year. The leader of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon announced the victory over the coronavirus infection. In Tajikistan, the vaccination campaign started on March 22.
