Japarov needs no COVID-19 vaccination

The Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic will launch the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign on March 29.

On March 26, Press Secretary of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Galina Baiterek made a statement on a COVID-19 vaccination of President Sadyr Japarov. According to the Press Secretary, doctors said there was no urgent need for Japarov to receive the coronavirus vaccine in the meantime, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The leader of Kyrgyzstan has been infected with the virus, as his laboratory blood tests detected antibodies to the COVID-19 virus in sufficient quantities.

Baiterek said the leader of the Republic would be vaccinated if tests showed a significant decrease in the number of antibodies.

As was reported, the Ministry of Health and Social Development will launch the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign throughout the country on March 29. Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev will be the first to receive the vaccine.

Healthcare workers, who are at high risk for COVID-19 working the red zones, will be vaccinated next.
