On March 20, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev congratulated compatriots on the national holiday Nauryz Meiramy, the press office of Akorda reported.
In his address, the leader of Kazakhstan said the people of Kazakhstan were not able to celebrate Nauryz last century. This integral part of the national culture has been restored after gaining state independence. Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev gave the status of a national holiday to the arrival of spring to revive imperishable traditions.
The President said he highlighted the importance of positive additions to the ideological approaches of Nauryz nationwide celebrations in his article Independence Above All. Every element of the multifaceted holiday should awaken moral values in people, inspire good deeds and bring benefits to the Motherland.
