Uzbekistan to create youth industrial zone

The emphasis was placed on the need to set up the regional network of continuous interactions with young people to identify promising projects.

On March 20, a working group led by Deputy Prime Minister Sardor Umurzakov visited Pskent and Buka Districts of Tashkent Region. It highlighted the need to set up the regional network of continuous interactions with young people to identify promising projects and effectively implement their initiatives. In this regard, it was proposed that a youth industrial zone would be created in the region, the official website of the Ministry reports.

The main purpose of the visit was to inspect the current level of social and economic development and put forward the proposals for using the existing investment, industrial and export potential of Pskent and Buka Districts, as well as to improve the living conditions of local population and increase their employment.

The key priorities of the national policy include stimulating investment and export activities, as well as removing existing barriers and facilitating the enhancement of the investment and export potential. In this regard, the emphasis was placed on the need for a direct dialogue and goal-oriented interaction with every entrepreneur and exporter as the most effective tools for increasing production and exports, as well as creating new jobs.

Umurzakov talked to Uzbek entrepreneurs about their problems and initiatives. Particular attention was paid to practical measures to promote goal-oriented interaction with entrepreneurs aimed at identifying and using additional reserves to increase exports through building existing production capacities, creating value chains and exploring new trade areas and promising foreign markets.

As was reported, Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to provide reliable local employment and provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan.
