The parties discussed the approaches to expanding investment cooperation in the energy, agricultural and pharmaceutical industries.
Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov had a meeting with Chairman of the WEB.RF State Corporation Igor Shuvalov during his working visit to Russia. The parties discussed the opportunities to build up investment partnerships in Uzbekistan through exploring new promising industrial cooperation projects in such economic sectors as energy, agriculture and water management, mining and pharmaceuticals, the press office of the Ministry reported to CentralAsia.news.
The discussion focused on the progress in implementing the joint projects and further steps towards their acceleration.
Shuvalov said the Corporation was ready to invest in new industrial cooperation projects in the framework of the Project Office between the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
The parties agreed to continue developing modern proposals in the most promising areas that had considerable potential for combining efforts to expand Uzbekistan-Russia economic cooperation and attract Russia’s investments and advanced technologies.
