Rospotrebnadzor to assess epidemic situation in Tajikistan

This was announced by Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Tajikistan Igor Lyakin-Frolov during a meeting with the Minister of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan.

On March 10, Minister of Health and Social Protection Jamoliddin Abdullozoda had a meeting with Ambassador of the Russian Federation Igor Lyakin-Frolov in Dushanbe. The parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the health sector and the current epidemic situation in the Republic, the press office of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection reports.

The Ambassador informed that experts from the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) would arrive in Dushanbe to assess the current epidemic situation in the country. They will also visit a number of laboratories and exchange experiences with local health professionals.

Lyakin-Frolov noted that the trip would be a follow up to the 17th meeting of the Tajikistan-Russia intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.

Abdullozoda expressed satisfaction with the level of interstate cooperation in the health sector.

As was reported, Minister of Labour, Migration and Employment of Tajikistan Shirin Amonzoda said if Rospotrebnadzor experts reported no coronavirus cases in Tajikistan, the RF Government would consider the possibility of lifting restrictions on the entry of migrants into Russia.
