Russia donates over 4,500 books to Tajik schools

These are textbooks on the Russian language and literature, physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, algebra and geometry.

Over 4,500 books on various subjects have been delivered with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo from Moscow to a number of educational institutions in Tajikistan. These textbooks have been distributed among schools and lyceums where teachers from the Russian Federation work, the Sputnik News Agency reported on March 8.

The Russian Federation has donated learning and instructional materials on the Russian language and literature to the Republic. The humanitarian aid also includes textbooks on algebra and geometry, physics, ecology, chemistry and biology.

This donation is made under the Russian Teacher Abroad project at the request of teachers from the Russian Federation. Programme Coordinator at the Tajikistan Office of Rossotrudnichestvo Ivan Ivanov says this is only part of learning materials that will be distributed among local schools by the end of 2021.

As was reported, five Russian schools will open in Tajikistan in September 2022. These educational institutions will be put into operation in Dushanbe, Kulyab, Khujand, Bokhtar and Tursunzade. The RF Government has allocated US$ 30 million for these construction projects through a targeted contribution to the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development.
