A concert and ceremony of honoring mothers with many children took place in the capital of Turkmenistan.
In the capital of Turkmenistan, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, a festive concert, a ceremony of honoring mothers with many children, as well as the final of the student competition «Talyp gozeli» were held. It was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan Today» on March 7.
A concert was organized at the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center on Saturday. Performers of folk and pop songs, theater artists, representatives of dance and musical ensembles, children’s creative groups, folk groups, and opera singers took part in the solemn event.
As part of the concert, music to the poems by Turkmen poets, the ancient dance kushtdepdi were performed. At the end of the celebration, a song glorifying independent Turkmenistan and local women was sung.
At the Center for Public Organizations, a ceremony of honoring mothers with many children, who were awarded the title of Ene mähri by presidential decree was held. Keys to new apartments were given to the respective families at the administrations of the capital and provinces.
All the female representatives of the country received monetary gifts on behalf of the head of the state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The building of the Center for Public Organizations also hosted the final of the annual contest «Talyp Gozeli», which assessed the intellectual and communication skills, the ability to sing, dance, recite poems, as well as the culinary talents of female students.
According to the results of the competition, the 4th year student of the faculty of Turkmen language and literature of TSU Gulnaz Atayeva was awarded the title of the most beautiful student.
Berdimuhamedov, as part of his congratulatory address to compatriots, said that all mothers, women, and girls of Turkmenistan have such qualities as tact, devotion, patriotism, wisdom, sensitivity, dedication, and sincerity.
According to him, the female representatives selflessly work on an equal basis with men in all sectors of the economy. He noted that the state, for its part, actively supports women, providing them with benefits, protecting their rights and interests.
