Tajikistan restores flights to Kazakhstan and Afghanistan

At first, the service will operate once a week.

The Government of Tajikistan has decided to restore air flights to Kazakhstan and Afghanistan. At first, the airlines will operate one flight per week and increase the number of flights in the future, the Khovar State News Agency reported on March 2.

Director at the Civil Aviation Agency Ikrom Subkhonzoda said Somon Air and Air Astana would resume passenger flights on the route between Dushanbe and Almaty. The necessary documents have been sent to Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan is waiting for the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to respond.

Somon Air and Kam Air will operate the first Dushanbe-Kabul-Dushanbe flights scheduled for March 10.

Subhonzoda stressed that the Civil Aviation Agency had requested that the local and foreign airlines not raise ticket prices unreasonably.

He said the number of charter flights between Dushanbe and Minsk would increase in the near future.
