The heads of government of the two countries deliberated on integrated interaction within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
On February 16, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin held bilateral political consultations. The heads of government had a telephone conversation, the press office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
The heads of government of the two neighbouring states discussed the agenda consisting of key aspects of bilateral cooperation. In particular, they deliberated on the urgent tasks to be achieved in the trade and economic, agricultural, transport and transit and space industries.
They reviewed the progress of industrial cooperation and integrated business contacts on the platform of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation have a number of substantive issues on this spectrum to be discussed.
The politicians also dwelt on the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic. Nur-Sultan and Moscow have approved the decision to utilise joint mechanisms to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease. Askar Mamin and Mikhail Mishustin exchanged views on the concept of joint border control actions.
As was reported, the heads of government of Kazakhstan and Russia met at the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIPC) in Almaty on February 5.
