Kazakhstan to set up children location tracking system

The Ministry of Internal Affairs will adopt an innovation that allows determining the exact location of the child.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan will set up the “Find Me” children location tracking system. A representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Nurdilda Oraz informed about the new aspect of the Ministry’s activity on January 25, Kazinform reports.

The official from the law enforcement agency said that the special subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs would launch the pilot projects in the near future. Nurdilda Oraz added that the “Find Me” security and tracking system for the youngest citizens of Kazakhstan would work across the country.

The innovation solution will allow determining the exact location of the child. The system will work through a tracker application installed on mobile phones synchronized via Bluetooth.

The application will be installed on the parents’ phones, and tracker devices can be attached to the child’s clothing. If the signal from the child is interrupted, a locator beacon will help the parents see the location of their child. The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the system would be connected to the control centre, and a request to locate the child would be redirected automatically to the police.
