Kyrgyzstan obliges people entering country to take PCR COVID-19 test

The verification algorithm was changed to prevent the spread of a new coronavirus strain in the republic.

On January 20, within a meeting of the operational headquarters Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Elvira Surabaldyieva said that citizens who arrive in the country by air must have a certificate of negative PCR COVID-19 test, received at least in the last 72 hours, as reported by the press office of the government.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, these additional security measures have been taken to prevent the spread of the «British» strain of the coronavirus infection in the state.

According to the report, the same conditions apply to foreign citizens and stateless persons who cross the state border through automobile points.

During the meeting, the officials also discussed issues of compliance with work algorithms at general education schools, which start to gradually return to the regular studying regime.

Surabaldiyeva gave instructions to control the sanitary and epidemiological situation and observance of the established algorithms at schools.
