Turkmen leader paid attention to the importance of constant modernization of the material and technical base of the armed forces. He underlined that one of the most important vectors in the implementation of military doctrine, based on defensive principles, is to provide all types of troops with advanced military equipment.
At the meeting, Minister of Defense Begench Gundogdyev reported on the work of the department for January-June, 2020. He marked that the spring recruitment campaign has ended, and Berdimuhamedov’s instructions on strengthening human resources have been completed.
The President, in turn, drew attention to the need of improving the system of training officers at specialized universities.
As a part of the meeting, Berdimuhamedov said that the modernization of the material and technical base will also take place in the law enforcement agencies. Corresponding instructions were given to the Minister of the Interior, Mammedhan Chakiyev.
