The New Opportunities for Business in Climate Change, Education, Information Exchange and Technology Transfer seminar was held in Ashgabat. The event was organised by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan jointly with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the IIC portal reported.
The participants discussed key issues related to climate adaptation, legal framework and practices for environmental education, the role of business in developing green technologies and international environmental cooperation. They paid special attention to technology transfer and information exchange.
The representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Finance, the Academy of Sciences, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and youth and women’s organisations and UNDP experts took part in the seminar.
