According to the President’s Administration, the project is aimed at improving the socio-economic situation in the country.
The new city project will contribute to improving the welfare of the people, reducing migration and enhancing the social climate in the regions. Moreover, the construction will help retain qualified employees and reduce social tension.
The Kemin district administration is the main project customer. The State Agency for Architecture and Construction will conduct engineering surveys and develop a city master plan. The Cabinet of Ministers is tasked to present a construction concept and hold negotiations with potential investors by June 2025. The Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Finance will ensure the construction of external electrical networks for the new city.
