In 2025, Kazakhstan continues to foster eco-culture. Major efforts are focused on environmental education, public environment control and the implementation of innovative solutions, the press office of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.
«We consider it necessary to continue and expand the All-Republic public environment control campaign, as well as eco-patrols involving public councils, civil society, business, educational and research institutions, the media and volunteers,» Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva said, emphasising the special attention paid by the President.
This year, it is planned to implement the large-scale projects, including the Taza Like action, the Ayala Art Festival and an eco-festival in Astana. New digital solutions, including the Eco-Events tab in E-gov applications and banking systems, will be designed to promote eco-themes in the public environment. It is also planned to develop waste segregation projects and the Green School Project and set up eco-hubs at youth centres.
Film production and television projects will also play an important role in promoting eco-culture. These include the series «Akzhauyn», the film «38» and the Sayakhat Time national project. International initiatives, including plogging in the Caspian Sea, will enhance environmental cooperation with other countries.
