On January 20, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev sent a message to National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in which he highly evaluated the relationship between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan developing in the spirit of friendship, good-neighbourliness and strategic partnerships, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
«I highly evaluated your tremendous contribution to further bringing our fraternal peoples closer together, as well as advancing the common goals of ensuring sustainable and secure development of the Central Asian region. I would like to specifically note your leadership and far-sighted ideas to rise the international authority of Turkmenistan and strengthen the high status of Ashgabat as a centre of diplomacy, peace and stability. Thanks to your efforts, the country sets an example of responsible partnerships, promoting trust and interaction in the region and beyond,» the leader of the friendly country wrote.
In this context, Tokayev focused on the constructive initiatives of Hero-Arkadag in the International Year of Peace and Trust, declared by the UN General Assembly at the proposal of Turkmenistan. The President of Kazakhstan emphasised that this historic decision is a significant event and illustrates the high effectiveness of its foreign policy.
