The Tajikistan-Iran Trade, Economic, Investment and Tourism Conference took place at the Osh Centre in Dushanbe. Following the event, the parties signed 13 partnership agreements between entrepreneurs and investors, Sputnik reported.
The major event was organised during the visit of Iranian leader Masoud Pezeshkian to Tajikistan. This is his first visit to the Republic since he was elected President. Following the conference, the parties signed 13 agreements on cooperation between investors and entrepreneurs.
The agreements totalled over $450 million.
It was noted that bilateral trade increased by 50% in 2024 compared to 2023. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon emphasised that the trade and economic sector lay a foundation for friendly relations and partnerships between the two countries.
