The opening ceremony of the Institute of Tajik-Persian Culture took place in Dushanbe during the state visit of IRI President Masoud Pezeshkian. Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Matlubakhon Sattoriyon noted that the resumption of activities at the Institute that has been operating for almost two decades since 1995 marks a new stage of scientific and cultural cooperation, Sputnik reported.
Since it was founded, the Institute has played an important role in the publication of the works of classical heritage and scientific research and contributed to strengthening ties between scientists of the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to the publication of the works in the Persian language by the modern Tajik poets, including Nizom Kosim, Farzona, Gulrukhsor, Saidali Ma’mur and Doro Najot.
The Institute plans to expand its research activities and continue preserving the common cultural heritage, including the traditions of celebrating Navruz, Mehrgon, Tirgon and Sada.
