On January 13, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a meeting in Abu Dhabi, the Telegram channel of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
The two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral partnerships, attaching particular importance to the promotion of economic and political ties.
«The UAE is our key partner in the Arab world. We are committed to close cooperation across the entire spectrum of bilateral and multilateral contacts for the benefit of our countries,» Tokayev noted.
The President of Kazakhstan emphasised the growth of direct investment from the United Arab Emirates that more than doubled last year and urged to focus on expanding the economic agenda to achieve the goal — to increase bilateral trade to $1 billion.
Sheikh Mohamed stressed the importance of deepening cooperation, expressing belief in further progress in relations between the countries.
