On January 3, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree authorising to set up the State Organising Committee to hold high-level events to mark the declaration of 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of the status of neutrality of Turkmenistan at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
The document is designed to ensure that major international forums, conferences, meetings, celebrations and events scheduled to be held during the year jointly with reliable and constructive partners of Turkmenistan — foreign countries and international organisations — to mark the declaration of 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust are organised in Turkmenistan in a proper and timely manner.
The President emphasised that Turkmenistan puts forward important initiatives to address pressing issues on the global agenda — to strengthen peace, security and stability, maintain sustainable development and tackle social, environmental and humanitarian issues. These initiatives are currently being implemented effectively through adopting multilateral documents.
