Tajikistan and Russia agree to launch industrial cluster

It will house chemical, mechanical engineering and light industry facilities.

Russia is planning to launch a large industrial cluster under its management in Tajikistan. The project is in the active development phase, RF Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The cluster will house chemical, mechanical engineering and light industry facilities; many Russian entrepreneurs are interested in cooperation.

The parties have reached an agreement on a special tax regime for future residents.

This decision was made amidst growing economic cooperation: Russia’s investment in Tajikistan’s economy has reached $1.9 billion, and bilateral trade has increased by 20% in 2024. According to President Emomali Rahmon, Russia is a key trade and economic partner of the Republic.
