Tajikistan has attracted record $1.9 billion in Russia’s investment

Investments were attracted to the agricultural, mining, manufacturing and energy sectors.

Russia’s accumulated investment in Tajikistan’s economy has reached an all-time high of $1.9 billion. Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic Yevgeny Korenkov noted a $100 million increase compared to 2023, Sputnik reports.

Russia maintains its top position in terms of accumulated investment in Tajikistan, second only to China in direct investment.

Russian companies are expanding their presence in the key sectors of Tajikistan’s economy, including the energy, mining, building materials, agricultural and light industries.

Emphasising that a conducive investment climate in Tajikistan attracts an increasing number of Russian companies, the Trade Representative expressed belief that Russia’s investment continues to grow next year.
