Kyrgyzstan’s GDP to rise by 8.7% next year

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic stated that cooperation within the CIS will enable to achieve this result.

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov reported on Kyrgyzstan’s economic success at the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government. Real GDP increased by 9% for the 11 months of 2024, which reflects improving economic stability, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.

External trade shows positive dynamics; trade between Kyrgyzstan and the CIS Member States increased by 15,1% in January-September 2024.

The Eurasian Development Bank projects Kyrgyzstan’s GDP growth of over 8,7% in 2025.

Zhaparov noted the importance of the CIS Agreement on Free Trade in Services and emphasised the need to develop transport and logistics infrastructure. Particular attention is paid to attracting foreign investment and promoting cooperation in labour migration.
