The Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan met with the top managers of Xidian University, during which the opening of an IT education centre in Uzbekistan was announced, the press office of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan reported.
As agreed, Xidian University and the Digital Education Development Centre of Uzbekistan will launch a joint digital education programme for Uzbek youth in 2025. The possibility of opening a branch of the Chinese university in Uzbekistan is being considered.
Uzbekistan plans to invite a specialist from China to develop digital learning resources and implement best practices. A memorandum between Xidian University and Inha University in Tashkent was signed as part of this cooperation.
Xidian University, founded in 1931, is known for its strong scientific base in electronics, telecommunications and IT technologies, which makes it a valuable partner in advancing IT education in Uzbekistan.
