On December 11, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a message of congratulations to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on International Neutrality Day. «Under your leadership the sovereign Fatherland, committed to the principles of permanent neutrality, attaches particular importance to maintaining peace, mutual understanding and trust among nations. The open door policy of our country provides broad opportunities for establishing friendly relations with any state in the world. The main goal of the national foreign policy is to promote bilateral and multilateral relations with the world community, while a key priority is to expand political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation with foreign countries, in particular, the states of the region,» the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty said.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasised that the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan contributes to further deepening international partnerships and good-neighbourly relations in the region and globally. Hero Arkadag underlined that in a short time, Turkmenistan has earned the reputation worldwide of being the state pursuing a unique model of foreign policy.
